What are Chloralieve Honey & Lemon Lozenges?
 

Chloralieve Honey and Lemon Lozenges are a soothing remedy for stubborn sore throats. They help ease your pain and kill bacteria that can irritate your throat.

The lozenges have two effective and well-established antiseptic ingredients; amylmetacresol and 2, 4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol. These ingredients provide a dual action, helping to fight the infection and numb the pain. With a pharmacy only formula to help fight the viruses and bacteria in the throat, targeting the infection at its source.

Warnings and Precautions

• Not suitable for children under the age of 12 years.

• Do not take this product before eating or drinking, as this product can cause coughing or a choking sensation while eating and can increase the chances of you biting your tongue. 

• Be extra cautious with hot drinks and wait for them to cool as your mouth may be numb and won't register if you burn your mouth.

• It is not recommended that you to take this medicine for more than 5 days at a time.  

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use if:

• You are allergic to any of the ingredients this product contains

• You are allergic to other amide-type local anaesthetics

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding

•  There are greater acute wounds in your mouth or throat

Speak to your GP or our pharmacist before use if:

• You are elderly or in a weakened condition

• You have diabetes or glucose-galactose malabsorption

• You have been told by your GP that you have an intolerance to some sugars

• You have asthma

• You’re taking other medication, including those you purchased without a prescription

If you take any other of these medicines it is essential you speak to your GP or Pharmacist first:

• Beta blockers

• Medicines which contain cimetidine

• Other local anaesthetics

• Medicines which are used to treat heart disorders

• Medicines used to treat depression

• Antibiotics

• Other mouth or throat antiseptics

Ingredients

2mg Lidocaine Hydrochloride, 0.6mg Amylmetacresol, 1.2mg 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol, Mint Oil, Partly Dementholised, Quinoline Yellow (E-104), Sodium Saccharin (E-954), Tartaric Acid (E-334), Sucrose, Liquid Glucose, Sunset Yellow (E-110), Lemon Essence, Honey Flavour.

How do I use Chloralieve Honey & Lemon Lozenges?
 

Dosage:

Suck ONE lozenge every 2-3 hours.
 

• Not to be used by children under 12 years of age.

• For oromucosal use.

What are the side effects of Chloralieve Honey & Lemon Lozenges?

If you experience any of the following side effects, you could be experiencing a severe allergic reaction and should seek medical help immediately:

• Swollen face, mouth, tongue, or larynx

• Difficulty breathing or swallowing

• Hives or difficulty breathing

Other side effects include:

• Burning

• Itching

• Stinging of the throat

• Unpleasant taste
